Defenx SmartPhone Security

What is Application Virtualization and why we are talking about a Next Generation of Security?

The breakthrough virtualization technology offered by SafeActive changes the rules of the game. SafeActive complements your existing anti-virus or anti-spyware solution by creating an isolated zone on your PC, which separates your operating system and confidential data from unknown programs, downloads and files.

SafeActive requires no signature updates at all, while protecting your entire PC against spyware, adware, and viruses – even new and yet unknown ones. Moreover, with SafeActive your sensitive data and personal information are immune from theft or damage.

SafeActive allows you to work with any kind of downloaded content at the same time protecting you against vulnerabilities from all sources, such as external devices, Web browsing, P2P, email, instant messaging, network shares, and much more.

Why do I need SafeActive?

You probably already have anti-virus and/or anti-spyware protection, and you’re asking, “Why should I bother with anything else? The answer is that today’s popular protection suites have a major inherent flaw—they require constant updates and maintenance.

Critical time passes between the moment a new threat is unleashed on the Internet and the moment your anti-virus or anti-spyware provider offers an effective response to it. Even more crucial time passes between this moment and the moment your security software is updated against this new threat.

This period of time can amount to several days and even more, during which you are completely unprotected. SafeActive solves this problem, and you are free to do everything you like in a safe environment.

Can SafeActive protect files and programs belonging to several users on a single PC?

Yes.

What kind of malware does SafeActive protect against?

I have forgotten my password for Defenx Security?

The locking feature of Defenx Security can only be disabled by entering the correct password, as any other option would reduce the effectiveness of the product. If you are unable to remember the password, the only other way to completely disabile the Defenx Security application is to hard reset the device. However please be warned that this will REMOVE ALL DATA from the device including, any contacts, call logs, sms messages and installed programs. On some devices data on memory cards will also be rendered unusable due to on-device encryption even if they are removed during the hard reset.

Do I need special technical expertise to install and use SafeActive?

Not at all. SafeActive was designed for both expert and novice users; install and forget – no user security decisions and no signature updates.

What are the differences between an Antivirus solution and SafeActive?

SafeActive is not an antivirus bat it is a complementary solution that protects your entire PC from vulnerabilities through applications such as P2P file sharing programs, Web browsers, and Instant Messenger. SafeActive acts and works where the antivirus are not able to provide you the security you need.

What is the red border that I see around e-mail attachments and other downloads?

The red border indicates that these programs or file icons are protected, since they are running in the SafeActive virtual machine.

Can SafeActive protect my privacy while ensuring against data theft?

Yes. SafeActive enables you to create unique folders, called Confidential Folders, on your hard disk. These folders are invisible to files and programs running in your SafeActive Virtual Machine, meaning that a virus, spyware or Trojan Horse running in your SafeActive Virtual Machine doesn’t even know that such a folder exists; therefore, it can never see or read any sensitive files that you keep in these unique folders.
